About the stopwatch

Counts up in tenths of a second, in digits big enough to read across a hall. Tap anywhere to start and stop.

Lap records a time without stopping the clock, and shows both the total and the split since the last lap. That is what you want for timing a set of runs, or for a science experiment where several things are measured in one go.

Useful in maths for getting a feel for how long a second is, in science for timing a reaction, and in PE for anything you would use a stopwatch for.

Like the timer, the time comes from the clock rather than from counting frames, so it stays accurate even if the tab is in the background.

How to use it on your whiteboard

  1. 1Tap anywhere to start.
  2. 2Tap Lap to record a time without stopping.
  3. 3Tap anywhere again to stop, and once more to carry on.
  4. 4Reset clears the clock and the laps.
  5. 5Tap Fullscreen so it fills the board.

Questions

How many laps can I record?
Twelve are kept on screen, which is enough for a class set of times and still readable from the back.
Does it show splits as well as totals?
Yes. Each lap shows the total time and the time since the previous lap.
How accurate is it?
To a tenth of a second, which is what it displays. It measures from the system clock rather than counting animation frames, so it does not drift.
